“Yoga is the dance between the light and the dark within you. The light is what brings you back to the mat and the darkness is what you uncover there. Don't be afraid of the darkness; these are only shadows and though you'll have to walk down some pretty dark alleys, remember you are grounded in the light and that light will set you free.”

Amy Jirsa

In October 2020 I invited Nina to participate in our ‘get active’ campaign to recognise International Mental Health Awareness Day. What started as a virtual one-off Chair Yoga session for the global workforce, turned into a 5 month programme of Mindful Movement and education for our people to learn about the 5 ways to wellbeing.  This later evolved into Hatha Yoga once a week for employees that had developed their practice, and who valued the time out to optimise their health and wellbeing while working remotely.

Our employees have thoroughly enjoyed Nina’s sessions, and her approach to teaching is so personable and engaging.  She takes time to understand the brief and her audience, and then designs her sessions cleverly, enticing participation from a global workforce with differing levels and understanding of yoga.  Her delivery demonstrates a balance of knowledge and kind encouragement, while teaching participants about the practice they are engaging in mid-flow!

Nina’s sessions have been key to our focus on employee wellbeing at Contis.  I recommend her highly to any organisation that invests in their people’s health.
